Let’s TEAM UP to CLEAN UP District 8! One of the top concerns in our District is the appearance and upkeep of our neighborhoods. Something we can do immediately is to identify the worst streets and blocks in your neighborhood and organize a clean-up day. Complete this survey to help us identify and coordinate clean-ups in your neighborhood.

The Meadowview Road and 24th Street Streetscape Project is the City of Sacramento’s plan to continue to make Meadowview Road and 24th Street friendlier for bicycles and pedestrians. The project will also enhance the aesthetics and create a sense of place along the streets by adding center road medians with landscaping, monument signage, and pavement treatments at crosswalks.

Feb 09 - District 8 Scholarships Available for Upcoming Garden Symposium! Soil Born Farms will hold their 2nd Annual A Garden in Every School Symposium this year at Luther Burbank High School from February 27-28th. Come network with like-minded teachers, parents, garden designers, community leaders, school garden coordinators, and others involved with helping kids make the connection between food, health and the environment. Full scholarships for the symposium are available for individuals who lives in District 8.
