Water, Sewer, and Drainage

The City of Sacramento Department of Utilities provides and maintains water, sewer collection, and storm drainage services. We have a variety of programs to promote water quality protection, water conservation, household recycling and a variety of other essential services.

Billing / Customer Service

Garbage, recycling and yard waste charges appear on the same bill as your water and sewer services. The Department of Utilities manages the billing for these city services.

Gas & Electric

Electricity is provided by Sacramento Municipal Utility District (SMUD), Sacramento's community-owned and not-for-profit electric service.

Pacific Gas & Electric (PG&E) provides natural gas services to the City of Sacramento. Find more information on the services they provide.
